Living through the Night

Deisree Jensen was born and raised in a small town in the Colorado mountains. She has literally been writing for as long as she can clearly remember, composing her first short story at the age of six. Since then she has produced countless short stories and poems as well as had several pieces published in various anthologies and magazines. She is currently working on several novels, all focused on very different subjects.

A writer by blood, Desiree doesn't believe that she will ever embrace the title of author. Author, she claims, is a title that implies career, that you are working for someone else. "I write for myself, first, and my audience second. Writing is something that I have to do and want to do because it is in my blood. If I make money with it, fantastic but I don't ever want to think of it as work."
